Understanding and Preventing Cancer!
According to the National Library of Medicine (NLM), cancer begins in your cells. Normally, your body replaces old cells that die. Sometimes this process goes wrong. New cells grow even when you do not need them, and old cells do not die when they should. These extra cells can form a mass called a tumor, though not all tumors are cancerous.
The spread of cancer from one part of the body to another is called metastasis. Symptoms and treatment depend on the cancer type and how advanced it is. Treatment plans may include surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy.

The National Cancer Institute's (NCI) website at Cancer.gov offers information that includes common cancer types, treatment information and answers to frequently asked questions.
You may also wish to visit the cancer web page from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning urging citizens to beware online cancer fraud. Many advertisements promote fake cancer remedies that appear completely harmless, but may cause indirect harm by delaying or interfering with proven, beneficial treatments.
